Priestcraft rebuilt the gate

Sacramental custody placed institutional mediators between ordinary people and the God Yeshua taught them to address.

Teaching 16 of 42

The argument

A distinct priestly class came to control Eucharist, absolution, burial, sacred space, and access to authorized worship. The shared table became altar; the many-membered assembly became audience; belonging became administrable through the institution.

Why it matters

The system could govern life and death while claiming to distribute grace, reproducing the very domination Yeshua forbade among his brothers.

What this teaching does not claim

The critique concerns the office-system and its claims. It does not assume every priest acts maliciously or every ordered role is domination.
