The argument
Yeshua's first eschatological warning concerns deception in his name. A false Christ may be a claimant, but it may also be an official theological image that survives for centuries through schools, liturgies, laws, fear, and inherited recognition.
Why it matters
The word Christian cannot exempt Christianity from Yeshua's warning. It identifies the arena in which the warning must be tested.
The warning establishes where to look; it does not by itself prove every later identification. The historical case must still be made.
