The argument
At Pentecost languages make Yahweh's deeds public. Peter opens Scripture, proclaims the raised Messiah, calls for repentance, and a community forms around teaching, fellowship, bread, prayer, awe, generosity, and praise. The event does not end in private spiritual excitement.
Why it matters
Claims of spirit are tested by their direction: toward Yahweh's truth, intelligible witness, edification, obedience, and life together.
What this teaching does not claim
No manifestation, atmosphere, or gift proves maturity by itself. Corinth had gifts and still required severe correction.
